Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Party & Event Host to plan and coordinate engaging events within our Raleigh-area Michaels store.

You will deliver friendly customer service, facilitate crafts, and ensure a positive, memorable guest experience for all ages. Ideal candidates have retail or customer service experience, are comfortable working with children’s events, and possess strong people skills.

Qualifications

• Experience with customer service in a retail environment.
• Experience planning and coordinating events, especially children's parties.
• Ability to interact with guests of all ages and provide friendly service.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience working with children and planning activities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events within the Michaels store, including children's birthday parties and craft classes.
• Engage with customers of all ages, provide solutions, and assist with checkout when needed.
• Promote Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and enroll customers.
• Assist with omni-channel processes like BOPIS and SFS.
• Perform store operational tasks including stocking, planograms, and maintaining store standards.
• Uphold safety and cleanliness standards and respond to client feedback.
