Michaels is hiring a Party & Event Host in Sarasota, FL to plan and coordinate engaging events such as children’s birthday parties within our store. You will deliver excellent customer service, support event operations, and engage guests of all ages for a fun, memorable experience.

Ideal candidates have experience with children and strong interpersonal skills, and are comfortable working in a retail environment with dynamic schedules including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate events including children's birthday parties.
• Engage clients and guests to create a fun, engaging experience.
• Demonstrate crafts, face painting, and related activities.
• Coordinate party add-ons like goody bags and balloons.
• Handle customer shopping assistance and fast checkout.
• Complete emails, calls, and paperwork; communicate with store team.
• Support store operations and ensure safety and cleanliness.
