LJA Surveying in Phoenix seeks a Party Chief to lead field crews, transport and set up surveying instruments, and prepare the job site for survey work. You will be responsible for instrument operation, data collection, and ensuring accuracy of field measurements.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to build reliable relationships with internal and external clients.
• Proven field leadership and supervision capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate surveying equipment (Trimble/Topcon) and data collectors.
• Run level loops for vertical control and topographic surveys.
• Identify property corners and prepare sketches/field notes.
• Capture photos of corners and tie-ins, noting point numbers.
• Upload data files for CAD work and maintain detailed notes.
