Job summary

LJA Survey in Pensacola, FL seeks a Party Chief to transport, set up surveying instruments, and prepare sites for topographic surveys on various projects. You will use Trimble/Topcon GPS and robotic total stations, ensuring accurate data collection and field notes for CAD work.

The role emphasizes communication, attention to detail, and collaboration with clients and internal teams. Travel and outdoor work are expected in a dynamic field environment.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills both oral and written.
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external clients.

Responsibilities

• Operate surveying equipment (Trimble/Topcon) and robotic total stations.
• Set up instruments and prepare the site for surveying.
• Calculate property corners on rights‑of‑way.
• Prepare a working sketch or field notes description of a property.
• Locate missing corners and photograph corners with measurements.
• Upload data to data collectors and create CAD text files.
