Job description

The Parts Warehouse Associate I is responsible for providing excellent customer service and maintaining an organized warehouse operation through basic warehouse processes and inventory management.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, professional, and safe (COPS) work environment.
  • Understand basic warehouse operations including picking, packing, staging, putting away, delivering orders, and maintaining customer will call.
  • Have a basic to intermediate understanding of cores, ship desk, hose fabrication, and will call procedures.
  • Understand basic principles of inventory control.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months of related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to pass WorkSteps test for this position.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed based on department requirements.
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, or evenings as required.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Effective communication skills for one-on-one and small group interactions.
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to interpret bar graphs and compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Apply common sense to carry out detailed but straightforward instructions.
  • Handle problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Knowledge of database, internet, inventory, and order processing software.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements if applicable.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Regularly required to use hands, talk, stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Occasionally sit, climb, balance, or taste/smell. Frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds. Must have close, distance, peripheral, and depth vision, and ability to focus.

Potential exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, chemicals, weather, electrical shock, and explosives.
