Job description

The Parts Warehouse Associate is responsible for providing excellent customer service and maintaining professionalism while managing parts orders and coordinating delivery or pick-up timelines. Key responsibilities include inventory management, organization, and timely communication with internal and external customers to ensure parts availability and support for field service technicians.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

1. Provide exceptional customer service.
2. Maintain a clean, organized, professional, and safe work environment.
3. Efficiently and accurately pick, put away, deliver orders, and maintain customer will call.
4. Fabricate hoses.
5. Ship and receive freight.
6. Process customer and shop orders, including returns.
7. Understand basic inventory control principles.
8. Interact with customers to determine parts needs, process orders, and communicate status.
9. Lookup appropriate parts in the system to fulfill customer needs.
10. Demonstrate proper cash handling and payment procedures.
11. Follow contamination control guidelines.
12. Manage backorders effectively.
13. Accurately process and complete parts orders with minimal supervision.
14. Attend after-hours call schedule as required.
15. Resolve customer issues or concerns promptly.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Ability to work overtime based on department needs.
2. Availability for weekend, holiday, or evening work as required.
3. High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience/training.
4. Ability to read, write, and understand simple instructions and memos.
5. Effective communication skills for one-on-one and small group interactions.
6. Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and interpreting graphs.
7. Ability to follow detailed instructions and solve problems involving concrete variables.
8. Knowledge of database, internet, inventory, and order processing software (e.g., DBS, SIS).
9. Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements if applicable.

While performing this job, employees must frequently use hands, stand, walk, reach, and occasionally sit, climb, or balance. Lifting/moving up to 50 pounds is required. The role may involve exposure to various environmental conditions, including humidity, fumes, chemicals, weather, and mechanical hazards.
