Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. in Chicago, IL seeks a full-time Parts Technician to ensure parts availability for truck and trailer repairs. You will manage stock levels, audit inventories, and submit orders while supporting core and warranty returns per company requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and up to 12 to 18 months of direct experience and/or training.
• Ability to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill parts requests by technicians and ensure proper charges to the unit.
• Observe all safety requirements and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Maintain JBHT information systems for parts receipts, shipments, inventories, and usage.
• Receive inbound shipments and stock parts to proper locations.
• Cycle counts and periodic inventories as required.
• Provide administrative support by copying and typing correspondence.
