Job summary

Mid-States Utility Trailer Sales seeks a Parts Specialist to support the service department in Sioux City, IA. The role covers inventory control, deliveries, warehouse, and front/back counter duties.

You will fill work orders or requests for materials, build part numbers, and issue purchase orders for special orders for our shop and customers. Additionally, you will answer phones and assist customers and technicians at the Parts counter.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in parts or a related role is preferred but not required.

Job Summary

The Parts Specialist is primarily responsible for supporting the parts department in areas such as inventory control, deliveries, warehouse, and the front and back counter.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Fill work orders or requests for materials, tools or other stock items and distribute to technicians
• Builds part numbers and issues purchase orders for special orders for our shop and customers.
• Answers phones when necessary
• Assists customers and technicians at the Parts counter
• Other duties and tasks as required by supervisor

Required Skills/Abilities

• Ability to work in a positive, fast paced environment
• Positive attitude and team player
• Ability to maintain strong organizational skills
• Proficient with computers including Excel, Office
• Regular attendance & ability to be ready at the start of shift necessary
• Valid Driver’s License & a satisfactory MVR
• Ability to pass post-offer physical & drug screen

Education and Experience

• 1 years’ experience Parts Specialist or equivalent experience preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent required

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift, push or carry up to 100-pound objects with assistance
• Frequently required to sit / stand / kneel / stoop / bend / use hands to handle materials / reach with arms and hands / operate motor-vehicle or job-related equipment
