Job summary

Gilbert's Family of Companies is seeking a parts sales professional in Okeechobee, FL. You will oversee the parts sales process, quote customers, and coordinate with staff to ensure accurate pricing and timely parts delivery.

The role emphasizes friendly customer interaction, catalog familiarity, and attention to stock levels. Valid driver’s license and background check are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Prior auto parts sales experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cataloging/inventory systems a plus.
• Eager to improve in a dynamic work environment.
• Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
• Ability to read/interpret safety and maintenance documents.
• Ability to calculate figures including discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and area/volume.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must be willing to submit to a background check.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish.
• Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Converse effectively/efficiently regarding customer parts status.
• Read and understand the parts catalog when looking up parts.
• Answer phone calls, provide price quotes and other information to customers.
• Review body shop estimates to verify parts accuracy and pricing alignment.
• Provide high level service to internal and external customers.
• Pull/fill orders from stock and maintain weekly bin checks for stock accuracy.
• Notify parts manager of out-of-stock parts or urgent shop materials.
• Locate out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submit emergency orders.
• Ensure internal requests for parts are billed on service repair orders.
• Receive payment from retail customers or obtain credit authorization.

• Locate out-of-stock parts from outside source and submit an emergency order, if necessary.
