The Parts Specialist will provide all retail and installer customers with a high level of service. This position also supports store management in accomplishing assigned tasks.
Essential Job Functions:
- Follow and promote all company customer service programs, such as Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, Rock the Lot, etc.
- Promptly greet retail/walk-in customers in a friendly, courteous manner and assist them with merchandise selection.
- Assist managers and/or installer service specialists in serving professional customers as needed.
- Complete assigned company training relevant to the position.
- Provide excellent service to customers calling the store, including answering calls, looking up parts and prices, recommending items, and offering the Low-Price Guarantee.
- Maintain and secure the cash drawer, process transactions accurately, and handle exchanges and returns per company policies.
- Address and resolve customer complaints amicably.
- Assist with daily store operations such as freight receival, stocking, cleaning, and planogram updates.
- Perform operational tasks like merchandise returns, stock adjustments, and inventory counts.
- Operate store test equipment after training.
- Perform in-store services (where legal), such as installing wipers, testing batteries, and scanning vehicle trouble codes.
- Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle if business needs arise and driving record qualifies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills/Education/Knowledge/Experience/Abilities:
Required:
- Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
- Outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively.
Desired:
- Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service.
- ASE certification.
- Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish.
