The Parts Specialist will provide all retail and installer customers with a high level of service. This position also supports store management in accomplishing assigned tasks.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Follow and promote all company customer service programs, such as Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, Rock the Lot, etc.
2. Promptly greet retail/walk-in customers in a friendly, courteous manner and assist them with merchandise selection.
3. Assist managers and/or installer service specialists in serving professional customers as needed.
4. Complete assigned company training relevant to the position.
5. Provide excellent service to customers calling the store, including answering calls, looking up parts and prices, recommending items, and offering the Low-Price Guarantee.
6. Maintain and secure the cash drawer, process transactions accurately, and handle exchanges and returns per company policies.
7. Address and resolve customer complaints amicably.
8. Assist with daily store operations such as freight receival, stocking, cleaning, and planogram updates.
9. Perform operational tasks like merchandise returns, stock adjustments, and inventory counts.
10. Operate store test equipment after training.
11. Perform in-store services (where legal), such as installing wipers, testing batteries, and scanning vehicle trouble codes.
12. Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle if business needs arise and driving record qualifies.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills/Education/Knowledge/Experience/Abilities:

Required:

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask effectively.

Desired:

• Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service.
• ASE certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish.
