Vermeer Heartland in La Vergne, TN seeks a Parts Specialist to support customers with parts needs and manage showroom and inventory. You will use the CDK system to process orders, maintain stock levels, and ensure accurate shipping and returns while delivering exceptional service.

The role emphasizes professional interactions with customers and internal teams, plus ongoing training and adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of technical education or related experience.
• Experience in parts sales or dealership environment preferred.
• Spanish language ability is a plus but not required.

Responsabilités

• Meet customer needs and enhance the customer experience using available resources.

• Maintain parts inventory using the inventory system and issue Purchase Orders.
• Manage customer accounts including sales orders, shipping and returns.

• Make routine calls to assigned customer accounts to strengthen relationships.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Utilize available resources to effectively meet customer needs and enhance the customer experience.
• Establish Vermeer Heartland as a trusted partner by conveying a professional and knowledgeable presence to both customers and internal team members.
• Utilize the inventory management system to maintain parts inventory, including creating and receiving Purchase Orders.
• Manage customer accounts, including sales order, shipping and return information.
• Organize parts inventory by arranged bin location system and maintain the showroom area in accordance with the Vermeer Heartland brand standards.
• Utilize system tools and resources to proactively meet customer needs through suggestive selling.
• Make routinely scheduled outgoing calls to assigned customer accounts to strengthen relationships, introduce new offerings, offer expert support and fulfill any product needs.
• Commit to continuous learning through online and instructor-led training programs.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations, adhering to all policies and procedures.

POSITION SKILLS/ ABILITIES

• High-level of computer proficiency with ability to utilize CDK operating system.
• Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-demand role on a consistent basis.
• Excellent customer service skills with ability to turn negative situations into positive experiences and opportunities.
• Excellent people management and communication skills for both internal co-workers and external customers and suppliers.
• Available on short notice to work overtime as customer demand or Vermeer Heartland operations dictate.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• 2+ years of technical education and/or related studies, or equivalent of combined experience.
• 1-3 years of experience as a parts specialist, inside/outside part sales or equivalent in a dealership environment.
• 1-3 years of experience with Vermeer industrial equipment or equivalent commercial, agricultural or material handling equipment is preferred.
• Fluent in Spanish language (oral and written) is a benefit, not a requirement.
• Valid driver’s license and able to meet Heartland insurance providers qualifications.
• Ability to sit, stand, lift and lower repeatedly and for extended periods in both internal and external environments.
