Job summary

North Central International is seeking a Parts Counter Salesperson to sell parts and accessories and support mechanics with necessary products for vehicle repairs. You will handle customer service, inventory management, and merchandising to ensure efficient, safe, and profitable operation of the parts department.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and mechanics, assess parts needs, and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Identify, locate, and pull parts from inventory to fulfill orders accurately.
• Use catalogs, computer systems to determine correct part numbers and pricing.
• Advise on suitable substitutions or modifications when exact replacements are unavailable.
• Process telephone and in-person orders, prepare invoices, and handle payments.
• Maintain accurate records of parts sales, inventory levels, and customer interactions.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in stock management.
• Examine returned parts for defects and process exchanges or refunds per policy.
• Assist in merchandising displays and keeping counter and sales area clean and organized.
• Demonstrate product features or usage to support sales.
• Collaborate with mechanics and service department to facilitate repairs.
• Adhere to safety protocols and dealership policies.
• Support other duties as assigned to ensure smooth operations.
