Job summary

Toyota of Mt Pleasant, a Sonic Automotive family dealership, is seeking a Parts Sales Associate to sell automotive parts retail over the counter, by phone, or in the shop.

Full-time position with a pay range of $36k-$67k per year, depending on sales and experience. Requires at least one year in an automotive parts department and one year of sales experience; high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in an automotive parts department.
• One year of sales experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist walk-in customers in selecting required parts and suggest add-ons.
• Pull stock, check availability, and submit emergency orders as requested.
• Answer calls and provide price quotes, information, and support.
• Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pickup.
• Assist service technicians in selecting parts for repairs.
• Order parts not in stock after discussion with Shop Foreman.
• Notify Shop Foreman and customers when parts arrive.
• Verify duplicate orders and file appropriately.
• Process returns and issue credits with manager approval.
• Handle credit card transactions per dealership guidelines.
• Maintain clean and organized counter areas.
• Operate vehicles safely; maintain valid driver license.
• Follow safety policies; report accidents.
