Carolina International Trucks in Charleston, SC is seeking a motivated, customer-focused Parts Counter Sales Representative to join our team. This role helps customers identify and purchase heavy-duty truck parts, delivering exceptional service and supporting daily parts operations.

The position requires at least 3 years of heavy-duty truck parts sales experience, selling all-make parts, with strong communication and computer skills. On-site employment includes benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of heavy-duty truck parts sales experience.
• Experience selling heavy-duty All Make parts and truck/engine components.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Impeccable customer service skills and professional demeanor.
• Strong computer skills; familiarity with dealership software.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional manner.
• Inform customers of companion part requirements and specials.
• Provide price quotes and information via phone or in person.
• Deliver high level of service to internal and external customers.
• Pull and fill orders from stock; locate out-of-stock parts as needed.
• Keep front and rear counter areas clean and organized.
• Participate in training programs and stay current on product updates.

Summary

Carolina International Trucks is seeking a motivated, customer-focused Parts Counter Sales Representative to join our team. This position is responsible for assisting customers with identifying and purchasing heavy-duty truck parts, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting daily parts department operations.

• Assists all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional and efficient manner.
• Informs customers of companion part requirements and specials and ensures that the customer is exposed to the full product line.
• Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.
• Provides high level of service to internal and external customers.
• Pulls and fills orders from stock.
• Locates out-of-stock parts from outside source and submits an emergency order, if necessary.
• Keeps front and rear counter areas clean and uncluttered.
• Participates in all training programs that are made available.
• Keeps current on new products and product updates.

Education and/or Experience

• A minimum 3 years of heavy-duty truck parts sales experience required.
• Experience in selling heavy duty “All Make” parts, truck, and engine parts (CAT, Cummins, Peterbilt, Kenworth, International, Freightliner, etc.).
• Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills.
• Impeccable customer service skills.
• Strong computer skills a must. Procede software experience a plus.
