Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking an inventory clerk to oversee storeroom operations, including receiving, storing, and managing maintenance supplies and miscellaneous items. You will support the parts room, maintain accurate inventory records, and organize parts with proper min/max levels.

The role requires basic math, reading/writing skills, and the ability to work independently when needed. Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office are preferred, and SAP experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: 6 months+ experience in maintenance or a parts room preferred.
• Computer Skills: Strong computer skills highly preferred: proficiency in Microsoft Office. SAP experience is a plus.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with employees, management, and suppliers.
• Special Skills: Ability to read and write; possess basic math skills; ability to work independently with minimum supervision. Detail oriented is preferred.
• Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift objects weighing 50 or more pounds occasionally
• Travel: None

Responsibilities

• Oversee inventory control in the storeroom, including receiving, storing, and managing maintenance supplies and miscellaneous items.
• Support team members in the parts room and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Maintain inventory records in the system and organize parts in designated bins with min/max levels.
• Manage storeroom operations when the Supervisor is absent; perform other assigned tasks as needed.
