Expected compensation: 34.00 USD Per Hour

HireArt is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company hire a Parts Operation and Logistics Specialist to support the spare parts planning-related activities for the base operations team.

In this role, you'll forecast spare parts needs and support technicians with part recommendations by using 3DX Catia for part lookups. The role will involve analyzing data, creating reports, and collaborating with logistics and supply chain to optimize inventory and improve processes.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of relevant experience. We're looking for someone with a background in supply chain or similar work in demand planning for an engineering environment (e.g., building parts, manufacturing, aftermarket items, etc.). You have an in-depth understanding of how to plan and fulfill customer needs.

As a Parts Operation And Logistics Specialist, You'll

  • Forecast spare parts requirements based on historical data and input from technicians and engineering teams.
  • Use 3DX Catia to look up parts and component drawings to provide input to the technician team.
  • Provide support to the technician team in a parts advisory capacity, similar to roles in automotive dealerships, by ensuring accurate and timely input.
  • Perform data analysis in Excel or Google Sheets to evaluate inventory levels, demand trends, and spare part consumption.
  • Develop presentations, dashboards, and reports to communicate material planning results and recommendations to cross-functional teams like supply chain, logistics, and internal management.
  • Continuously review and optimize processes to forecast spare parts needs at the various operations locations.
  • Collaborate with logistics and supply chain for demand planning and spare parts inventory review.
  • Work with Logistics on process development and improvement projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience in a materials planning or similar role (e.g., parts advisor, inventory control)
  • Strong experience with 3DX Catia or similar engineering systems for looking up parts
  • Hands-on experience in working with parts catalogs and parts technical specifications
  • Ability to perform data analysis using Excel or Google Sheets to monitor inventory and plan materials effectively
  • Experience working directly with technicians and engineering teams
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills for developing reports and dashboards, and presenting data to management
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities

Commitment: This is a full-time, 6-month contract position staffed via HireArt. It will be available to candidates who are local to the Foster City, CA area.
