Job summary

JX Enterprises, Inc. is hiring a Parts Manager in Effingham, IL. The role leads the local team, drives parts sales, and manages inventory with a focus on profitability and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in parts or 10+ years in related roles, proven leadership, and strong organizational skills. Monday–Friday schedule with a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher with 6+ years of related experience; or 10+ years in heavy-duty truck parts without a degree.
• Demonstrated ability to manage people, processes, and priorities.
• Progressive thinker who embraces new ideas and implements change.
• Basic computer skills; experience with inventory systems and catalog tools.

Responsibilities

• Achieve budgeted goals for sales volume, gross margin, inventory turns, and department profitability.
• Lead and motivate the counter staff to create sales opportunities and deliver customer-centric service.
• Develop market development strategies to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base.
• Monitor and control slow and non-moving stock levels within company guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support business operations.

• What You'll Do Day-to-Day (Essential Duties & Responsibilities):
• Achieve budgeted goals for sales volume, gross margin, inventory turns, and department profitability: Fulfill our commitment to meeting financial targets while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and accountability.
• Lead and motivate the counter staff to create sales opportunities: Foster a positive and customer-centric environment, ensuring that every interaction with our team leaves a lasting positive impression on our customers.
• Develop individualized market development strategies: Embrace continuous learning and innovation, adapting strategies to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction while staying ahead of industry trends.
• Implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base: Demonstrate initiative and creativity in driving growth and exploring new opportunities, embodying a pioneering spirit in the pursuit of excellence.
• Monitor and control slow and non-moving stock levels within company guidelines: Exercise responsible stewardship of resources and optimizing inventory management practices.
• Perform other dynamic duties and responsibilities as assigned to support business

What We're Looking For (Qualifications & Skills):

• Associate degree and 6+ years of related experience or a Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of related experience preferred. Non-degreed candidates with 10+ years of progressive experience in heavy duty truck parts will be considered.
• Demonstrated ability to manage people, processes and priorities.
• Progressive thinker who embraces new ideas and implements change.
• Basic computer skills required; experience with inventory systems, and electronic part catalogs preferred
• Dependable and reliable attendance.
• Valid driver's license required.
• A curious mindset with an entrepreneurial \"pioneering spirit,\" strong integrity, and a passion for continuous professional development.

The employee is frequently required to bend, squat, kneel, and crawl/lay on back; reach away from body or shoulder height; climb or balance; lift up to 75 pounds; push or pull; working in areas with fumes or airborne particles; vibration. Use safety glasses, gloves, and shoes; talk or hear.
