Job summary

JX Enterprises is seeking a Parts Manager in Effingham, IL. This full-time role supports our local team and focuses on driving department profitability, optimizing inventory, and building strong customer relationships.

You will lead the counter staff, develop market development strategies, and work toward budgeted targets while maintaining high integrity and accountability in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or Bachelor's degree with related experience; non-degreed candidates with 10+ years will be considered.
• Demonstrated ability to manage people, processes and priorities.
• Basic computer skills; experience with inventory systems and electronic part catalogs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Achieve budgeted goals for sales volume, gross margin, inventory turns and profitability.

• What You'll Do Day-to-Day (Essential Duties & Responsibilities):
• Achieve budgeted goals for sales volume, gross margin, inventory turns, and department profitability: Fulfill our commitment to meeting financial targets while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and accountability.
• Lead and motivate the counter staff to create sales opportunities: Foster a positive and customer-centric environment, ensuring that every interaction with our team leaves a lasting positive impression on our customers.
• Develop individualized market development strategies: Embrace continuous learning and innovation, adapting strategies to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction while staying ahead of industry trends.
• Implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base: Demonstrate initiative and creativity in driving growth and exploring new opportunities, embodying a pioneering spirit in the pursuit of excellence.
• Monitor and control slow and non-moving stock levels within company guidelines: Exercise responsible stewardship of resources and optimizing inventory management practices.
• Perform other dynamic duties and responsibilities as assigned to support business

What We're Looking For (Qualifications & Skills):

• Associate degree and 6+ years of related experience or a Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of related experience preferred. Non-degreed candidates with 10+ years of progressive experience in heavy duty truck parts will be considered.
• Demonstrated ability to manage people, processes and priorities.
• Progressive thinker who embraces new ideas and implements change.
• Basic computer skills required; experience with inventory systems, and electronic part catalogs preferred
• Dependable and reliable attendance.
• Valid driver's license required.
• A curious mindset with an entrepreneurial "pioneering spirit," strong integrity, and a passion for continuous professional development.

Physical and Mental Demands:

The employee is frequently required to bend, squat, kneel, and crawl/lay on back; reach away from body or shoulder height; climb or balance; lift up to 75 pounds; push or pull; working in areas with fumes or airborne particles; vibration. Use safety glasses, gloves, and shoes; talk or hear.
