Lakeside International, L.L.C. is seeking a Parts Manager to lead the parts counter team in Rockford, IL. You will drive revenue, manage margins, and optimize inventory while ensuring top-notch customer service for both external and internal customers.

Responsibilities include training staff, managing vendor returns, and enforcing pricing discipline to maximize gross profit. This role requires strong leadership, automotive parts knowledge, and effective communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Associate degree or equivalent Automotive / Diesel technology industry experience.
• 3 years of truck/automotive dealership experience.
• Strong leadership and management ability.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills (internal and external).
• Ability to train and lead counter people selling medium and heavy duty truck parts.
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills under time pressure.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Profitable growth through increased counter revenue.
• Foster and maintain customer-focused environment through training, leadership and modeling of exceptional customer service.
• Management of Revenue, Gross Margin Dollars, Overtime and Freight Recovery.
• Leadership, management and training on customer calls, both in-person and telephone.
• Hire, train, schedule and develop counter staff.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching.
• Manage counter behaviors including utilization of quote tracker, offering aftermarket parts, discounts and featured products.
• Track and manage results for inventory related KPIs (Base Camp).
• Provide oversight and supervision of invoices coded by their department.
• Processing and tracking vendor core returns and credits and schedule reconciliation.
• Schedule reconciliation for DIA returns and local vendor returns.
• Enforcement of margin discipline. Escalate pricing concerns as needed.
• Resolve escalated customer issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental policies.
• Retail Merchandising Area.

Description

Lead and manage the parts counter team to support both external and internal customers while maximizing customer satisfaction and gross profit. Parts manager is also responsible for execution of process discipline required to maintain an optimized inventory.
