Job summary

Top Quality Recruitment (TQR) is seeking a Parts Room Specialist in Concord, NC to manage inventory, coordinate with OEMs and vendors, and maintain accurate records. You will forecast usage, process orders, and support just-in-time inventory while ensuring safety and quality standards.

The role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and 3–5 years of parts room experience in a manufacturing environment. A proactive approach to process improvements is expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties focusing on safety, quality and GMP.
• Hire, train, motivate and supervise department staff.
• Forecast daily parts usage and order parts/equipment.
• Track daily use of parts and orders.
• Coordinate with maintenance on parts changes or removals.
• Ensure purchase orders are created per policy.
• Monitor parts availability with production planning for JIT.
• Analyse inventory data to forecast demand and adjust purchasing.
• Suggest and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Conduct daily/weekly/monthly cycle counts and quarterly full counts.
• Control inventory by proper sign-out and receipt in system.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised work area per policies.

Key Activities

• Performance of duties assigned with focus on safety, quality (of product and task) and Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Hire, train, motivate, and supervise department staff, fostering a positive and productive team environment.
• Forecasting daily parts usage, ordering appropriate parts and equipment.
• Track daily use of parts and orders.
• Work with maintenance to identify parts that are removed due to equipment changes or equipment being removed.
• Ensuring purchase orders are created in accordance with company policy.
• Monitor parts availability and usage in coordination with production planning to support just-in-time (JIT) inventory practices.
• Analyse inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Conduct Daily/Weekly/Monthly Cycle Counts and quarterly full inventory counts.
• Control inventory by making sure that parts are being signed out and received in the system.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised work area that aligns with company policies and safety standards.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of hardware such as pneumatic fittings, O-rings, seals, nuts and bolts, lubricants, etc.
• Work closely with OEM’s and parts vendors to make sure parts are ordered and received on time.

Educations & Experience
