Job summary

Memphis Area Transit Authority (MATA) is seeking a Storeroom Clerk to support Bus Maintenance. You will receive, label, stock, and track parts and supplies, and provide prompt counter service to maintenance personnel.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, at least 1 year in storeroom or inventory roles, and strong data-entry skills. Forklift certification is a plus; reliable attendance and safety compliance are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year storeroom/inventory experience preferred.
• Must be able to use a computer and enter data accurately.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Receives, labels, and stocks parts the same day with new stock numbers as needed.
• Provides counter service to maintenance personnel and issues parts per work orders.
• Issues parts to maintenance personnel as directed.
• Delivers office supplies to designated departments.
• Maintains organized storeroom, shelves, bins, and filing systems.
• Performs inventory reconciliation and cycle counts.
• Complies with safety and environmental requirements.
