Job summary

Utah Transit Authority is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to count, receive, store, and issue parts and supplies for vehicle maintenance. You will use computerized and paper systems to ensure accuracy, and assist with interdepartmental stock orders while maintaining high standards of customer service with mechanics, vendors, and UTA staff.

The role requires knowledge of inventory procedures, basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel), and the ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Regular and predictable attendance required.
• Two years of inventory management, control, or shipping/receiving experience preferred.
• Experience with vehicle parts and ability to use parts manuals (preferred).
• Must have 1 year experience in a customer service role providing face-to-face instructions and clarifying information.

Responsibilities

• Count, receive, store, issue, and perform accurate inventory system transactions for spare parts and supplies.
• Requisition needed parts following UTA policies and procedures.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and appropriate stock levels.
• Prepare stock orders for interdepartmental shipping and assist with inventories.
• Operate equipment to move inventory and interact with mechanics, vendors, and staff.
