Job summary

Kinsley Power Systems in Jerome, Idaho is seeking an Inventory Clerk to support the procurement team. You will account for parts and supplies used, count inventory daily, and stage items for repairs and maintenance.

You will also help internal customers locate items, issue parts electronically, and keep the storeroom organized with accurate labeling and locations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent work-related experience.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Forklift and/or scissor lift experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Builds strong working relationships through clear communication and teamwork.
  • Assists staff by locating and issuing parts and creating emergency work orders.
  • Organizes stock items and ensures proper labeling and bin locations.
  • Performs daily physical inventory counts using a blind count method.
  • Maintains clean and orderly work area and shelves.
  • Stages parts for down days and plant maintenance.
  • Updates work orders with time, materials, and status.
  • Cross-trains in other departments to cover needs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

SHIFT:


  • Night shift - 6:00pm to 6:30am.

  • Subject to change according to business needs.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The inventory clerk is a key member of the procurement team. This individual is responsible for accounting of parts and supplies used, as well as organization and physical count of inventory. This position assists internal customers in need of parts or supplies, stages necessary parts and supplies for scheduled repairs, and works with other team members in day-to-day operations.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is a key position within our company that:



  • Builds strong working relationships with employees and departments through clear communications, collaborative efforts and teamwork.

  • Provides service to those coming to the storeroom for parts; this service includes but is not limited to locating the item(s) needed, issuing the parts electronically as well as creating emergency work orders for the job.

  • Organize stock items ensuring that all items are properly labeled and placed in their assigned bin locations.

  • Performs physical inventory counts daily using a blind count method.

  • Maintains work area in clean and orderly fashion including but not limited to sweeping floors and dusting shelves.

  • Stages parts for upcoming down days as well as for scheduled plant maintenance.

  • Update work orders as needed to enter time, materials, and status.

  • Cross train in other department positions to cover when needed.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.


POSITION SPECIFICATIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:


  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent work-related experience.

  • Valid state driver's license is required.


Skills:


  • Excellent customer service orientation skills.

  • Sound written and verbal communication skills.

  • Good computer skills.

  • Forklift and/or scissor lift experience is helpful.

  • Motivated self-starter who is able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Accuracy and attention to details in daily activities.

  • Highly organized with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.

  • Effective prioritizing and time management skills.

  • Good interpersonal skills.


Experience:


  • Computer experience.

  • Familiarity with inventory control.

  • Knowledge of parts especially of those used in a diary facility is helpful.


Working Conditions:


  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis.

  • Subject to up to at least 92db’s.
