Job summary

CarMax is seeking a Supply Associate to ensure technicians have the correct parts, manage inventory accuracy, and process incoming shipments. You will support internal and external customers in a fast-paced environment, with emphasis on accuracy, collaboration, and efficiency.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, multiple tasks, and strong phone/face-to-face communication. This is an on-site position with opportunities to grow within CarMax’s service operations.

Qualifications

• Completion of Supply Associate Workstation Certifications and adherence to competency standards.
• Ability to read, interpret, and accurately record data.
• Intermediate computer skills, including spreadsheet proficiency.
• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with associates and vendors.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods.
• Effective verbal communication skills for customer and team interactions.

Responsibilities

• Identify and provide the correct parts for customer vehicles.
• Receive, inspect, and process incoming parts shipments into inventory.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and proper stocking levels.
• Control supplies to minimize waste and improve efficiency.
• Allocate parts using CarMax internal systems for smooth workflow.
• Return incorrect or defective parts to vendors promptly.
• Follow CarMax EH&S requirements and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
