Parts & Inventory Coordinator

Job Type: Full-Time - Location: Frierson, Louisiana
CNC Oilfield Services is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Parts & Inventory Coordinator to manage inventory, purchasing, and parts operations that support our fleet, equipment, and shop maintenance teams. This role plays a critical part in minimizing equipment downtime by ensuring the right parts are available at the right time.
What You'll Do
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts and audits
- Monitor inventory levels and establish min/max stock levels
- Track inventory usage, shortages, and replenishment needs
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve inventory efficiency
Purchasing & Procurement
- Source and purchase parts, supplies, and consumables
- Obtain vendor quotes and compare pricing
- Create and manage purchase orders
- Track open orders and expedite critical parts when necessary
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships
Receiving & Distribution
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments
- Verify packing slips against purchase orders
- Organize and store inventory appropriately
- Issue parts to mechanics and operations personnel
- Maintain accurate parts usage records
Operational Support
- Coordinate with mechanics and shop personnel to forecast parts requirements
- Ensure parts availability for preventative maintenance activities
- Assist with emergency procurement requests
- Support equipment uptime and operational efficiency
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of experience in:
- o Inventory Control
- o Purchasing
- o Warehouse Operations
- o Parts Management
- o Strong computer and data entry skills
- Experience in one or more of the following industries:
- o Oilfield Services
- o Fleet Maintenance
- o Transportation
- o Heavy Equipment
- o Construction
- Proficiency with:
- o Microsoft Excel
- o Microsoft Office Suite
- o Inventory Management Systems
- Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record
- Forklift Certification (or ability to obtain)
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of procurement and inventory best practices
- Experience with fleet management or maintenance tracking software
- Understanding of preventative maintenance programs
- Familiarity with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and industry safety requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent organization and multitasking skills
