Job summary

Green Lake County's Highway Department seeks a Parts and Facilities Manager to coordinate ordering of parts and supplies for the shop, maintain inventory, and oversee facility maintenance and related records.

The role collaborates with mechanics, foremen, and the Highway Commissioner to ensure efficient parts procurement and asset management, with duties extending to custodial tasks and DOT equipment documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years' experience in parts/repair environment or facility maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license and CDL with A, B, C, D and N endorsements or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to manage inventory and maintenance records.
• Ability to work a 40 hour/week schedule including weekends for snow removal and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate ordering of parts, materials, lubes for the shop.
• Maintain up-to-date inventory records for parts and materials.
• Liaise with multiple vendors to price parts and obtain quality at low cost.
• Oversee facility maintenance duties and janitorial tasks.
• Assist in developing bid specifications and asset disposal recommendations.
• Manage all MEP systems in the highway facility.
• Keep warranty and related documents for each vehicle.
