Job summary

W.W. Williams is seeking a Parts Expeditor to support technicians by building accurate parts lists, expediting orders, and keeping inventory aligned with shop schedules.

This full-time role focuses on reliable parts provisioning to ensure work is completed promptly and to the customer’s satisfaction. You will minimize downtime by managing parts availability, documenting parts usage for invoicing, and communicating delivery estimates to the shop.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of heavy-duty trucks and trailer parts.
• Ability to learn mechanical terminology and repair business basics.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Assists in development of parts lists for repairs using product knowledge and supplier catalogs.
• Minimizes downtime by addressing parts availability and procurement issues.
• Enters parts used on jobs into the system for inventory and invoicing.
• Tracks and recovers freight costs according to policy.
• Estimates delivery dates and communicates with shop to optimize technician time.
• Expedites urgent orders based on customer requirements.
• Investigates and resolves delivery problems.
• Ensures proper tagging and return of cores from remanufactured products.
• Verifies completion of parts portions to close jobs.
