The Parts Driver is responsible for safely transporting heavy equipment parts and construction materials between vendors, the shop, and active job sites. This role plays a key part in supporting equipment uptime and field operations by ensuring timely, accurate, and professional deliveries while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, organization, and communication.

TOTAL COMPENSATION

$23.17 to $40.91 per hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections of delivery vehicles; perform basic maintenance such as checking fluids and tire pressure.
  • Load and unload heavy equipment parts and construction materials using appropriate equipment (forklift, knuckle boom, overhead crane, pallet jack) or by hand as required.
  • Safely operate large flatbeds, pickup trucks, and trailers to transport materials between vendors, the shop, and project sites across the Denver area.
  • Plan and execute efficient daily delivery routes, prioritizing tasks to maximize productivity.
  • Accurately complete, track, and organize delivery and materials documentation.
  • Review purchase orders, coordinate with vendors, and follow established procedures for parts pick-up and delivery.
  • Assist with inventory tracking and organization of parts within the shop.
  • Regularly check and respond to company emails to ensure timely communication and task completion.
  • Adhere to all internal and vendor-specific safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
  • Excellent driving record and familiarity with Denver-area routes and traffic patterns.
  • Ability to safely lift, load, and transport heavy parts and materials (up to 50 lbs.).
  • Skilled in operating manual transmission vehicles.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills; professional when interacting with vendors, coworkers, and leadership.
  • Reliable, safety-minded, and detail-oriented with the ability to follow instructions and multitask effectively.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or occasional night shifts as needed.
  • Dependable, honest, and team-oriented with a positive attitude and desire to learn.
  • Must be at least 18 years old with a valid Colorado driver’s license.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to pass all required drug screenings and employment verifications.
  • Regular access to a reliable personal email account for company communication.
Preferred
  • 1–2 years of experience in a similar role within construction or heavy equipment operations.
  • Experience operating forklifts, cranes, and other material handling equipment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS

This position requires the ability to communicate in English with co-workers, customers and the general public.

MATH SKILLS

This job requires the ability to understand and execute basic math equations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must sit for extended periods of time driving to multiple locations. Able to walk, load and unload, work on uneven surfaces, climb flatbeds or ladders, and push, pull, and lift items up to 50lbs. Able to use hands to hold, grasp, push, and pull. Able to bend, walk, stand, and sit for extended time. Able to use hand tools.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Driving between various vendor locations, Fiore & Sons shop, and different project locations. Exposed to weather conditions, in-shop atmosphere with loud noises, fumes, enclosed driver seats, etc. Working on or around heavy / moving machinery.
