Hyundai Motor Group is seeking an Assistant Manager for Parts Development (Seats/CPM) at HMMA in Montgomery, AL. You will oversee purchasing activities for production and new model parts, manage supplier safety, quality, cost, and delivery, and lead cost-reduction initiatives while developing supply base relationships with plant management.

The role requires strong negotiation, strategic planning, and extensive experience in automotive supply chain management.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
• 5 – 10 years job related experience with supervisory duties preferred.
• Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible supply chain experience desired.
• Long-term planning and strategy development experience desired.

Responsabilidades

• Implement policies and procedures to ensure an efficient and professional operation.
• Mentor and develop Team Members, fostering their growth through regular engagement and training.
• Lead by example by demonstrating the Hyundai Way.
• Track, measure, and improve part related Supplier Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Development (S-QCDD) KPIs.
• Select, develop, and manage supply base for production parts, components, and systems by preparing RFIs/RFQs, negotiating long-term agreements, leading cost reductions, and monitoring supplier performance.
• Enhance supplier safety, part quality, and delivery, and reduce risks.
• Write action reports related to corrective countermeasures for part quality defects.
• Establish supplier partnerships with plant management and above level.
• Continuously expand expertise in automotive component function, supply chain, quality control, and manufacturing processes.
• Communicate results of supplier process audits and propose corrective actions.
• Collaborate with R&D from initial product development stages and develop parts with suppliers.
• Formulate yearly commodity and supply base strategy based on purchasing value and other factors.
