Job summary

Ford dealership in Oregon seeks a Parts Counter Person to provide friendly, efficient customer service and drive retail parts sales. You will help with stock, process orders, and communicate clearly with customers and staff.

You will work with the parts team to locate parts, handle special orders, and follow safety and industry regulations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with auto parts or dealership sales is preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to learn new technology and repair/service procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish.
• Assist parts manager to locate parts not in stock.
• Process special order part requests for customers.
• Communicate with customers on parts status.
• Interact with staff and customers in a friendly, professional manner.

Parts Counter Person Responsibilities:

• Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish
• Work with parts manager to locate any parts not in stock
• Complete special order part request for the customer
• Communicate with customer on parts status
• Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Must follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations applicable to industry

Parts Counter Person Requirements:

• Previous experience at a Ford dealership is a plus
• Ability to identify the problem quickly
• Knowledge of automobiles
• Effective analytical and communication skills
• Strong reading, computer, and mathematics skills
• Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
• Minimum of 1 year in service department
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills
• Positive, friendly attitude
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with auto parts sales (preferred)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Detail-oriented, have a professional appearance and strong work ethic
