Job summary

Ronnie Thompson Ford is seeking a Parts Counter Person to handle customer service and retail sales within our auto parts store. You will sell parts, take inventory, and collaborate with technicians to order and quote parts for service vehicles.

You will follow Ford's ordering processes and maintain professional customer interactions. The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong reading, computer, and mathematics skills are essential.
• Experience with auto parts sales is preferred.
• Ability to learn new technology and repair/service procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish.
• Work with parts manager to locate parts not in stock.
• Complete special order part requests for customers.

Job description

The Parts Counter Person is responsible for customer service and retail sales at an auto parts store. In this position, your responsibilities include selling parts and taking inventory of stock in storage and, if necessary, on shelves. As a parts counter person you will also work with technicians to order and quote parts for customers vehicles in service. You will follow all of Fords proper ordering processes.

Requirements

• Previous experience at a Ford dealership is a plus
• Ability to identify the problem quickly
• Knowledge of automobiles

• Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
• Minimum of 1 year in service department
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
