Job summary

Hawthorne Cat on Kauai is seeking a Parts Counter/Warehouse associate to fill orders, stock the warehouse, and sell parts to customers. You will handle clerical tasks, process claims, and maintain accurate inventory and documentation for Caterpillar parts.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in customer service, a high school diploma, and a valid driver's license, with forklift certification or the ability to obtain it within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have at least 1 year experience in a customer service role, preferably a service shop or parts department.
• Must have a valid Drivers License with a good driving record.
• Must have PC skills.
• Must have the ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.
• Must be forklift certified or able to be certified within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Receives parts orders from walk-in, telephone, and email customers and provides excellent customer service.
• Verifies and confirms correct part numbers, specific models, and serial numbers match up properly.
• Prepares and completes cash deposits, deposit slips, and cash sheets and prepares daily reports for accounting.
• Handles parts claim documents and inputs claims in the Caterpillar Antares system.
• Ensures that the Parts cash account is always up to date, all collections are made, and no invoices are written off due to non-payment.
• Prepares the Customer Order Action Pending report weekly and takes action on past due back orders and documents.
