Job summary

Toyota of Wallingford is seeking a Parts Counterperson to support service techs and retail customers by sourcing and supplying Toyota parts and accessories. The role uses Dealertrack for orders and invoicing, maintains accurate inventory, and offers commission based on sales performance.

Qualified candidates will have at least 1 year in an automotive parts environment, strong Toyota parts knowledge, and excellent customer service skills.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in automotive parts, dealership, or similar parts counter environment.
• Strong knowledge of automobile parts, especially Toyota parts.
• Sales/customer service focus with relationship-building ability.
• Hands-on experience with electronic ordering and shipping systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist technicians, service advisors, and customers in identifying and sourcing Toyota parts.
• Use electronic ordering and shipping systems to process parts orders, returns, and inter-store transfers.
• Operate DMS to look up parts, create invoices, update records, and track orders.
• Maintain organized parts counter and stock; label items clearly.
• Monitor inventory levels; receive shipments and report discrepancies.
