Truck Centers, Inc. is seeking a customer-focused Parts Counter Sales Representative in Illinois. You will assist customers in person or by phone to find the right commercial vehicle parts and process sales quickly and accurately.

This role runs Monday through Friday, 7am to 3:30pm, with a pay range of $20.02 to $30.02 per hour and incentive eligibility. Benefits include health, dental, vision, 401(k) and paid time off.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of parts sales experience preferred.
• Basic computer operations and inventory control knowledge.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent organization with multitasking and attention to detail.
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Capable of lifting up to 80 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Sell parts over the counter or by phone in a lively, fast-paced setting.
• Look up parts and technical information, check inventory, and locate stock within our TCI network.
• Process sales transactions accurately and promptly, adhering to policies.
• Coordinate orders for shipment, delivery, or pickup speeding processing.
• Process returns with credits, verifying purchase details.
• Follow up with customers on order status, provide estimates, and make routine sales calls.
• Enter part numbers accurately to determine costs on repair orders.

(TCI) is on the lookout for a customer-focused Parts Counter Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you'll need to bring your strong interpersonal skills to help our customers find the commercial vehicle and equipment parts they need, whether in person or over the phone.

Shift Available:

• This position will work Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm.

What You’ll Do:

• Sell Parts: Assist customers over the counter or by phone in a lively, fast-paced setting.
• Utilize Resources: Quickly and efficiently look up parts and technical information, check inventory, and locate stock within our TCI network.
• Handle Transactions: Ensure all sales transactions are completed accurately and promptly, adhering to TCI policies, including verifying signatures, credit cards, and customer identity.
• Coordinate Orders: Schedule orders for shipment, delivery, or customer pick-up, ensuring they are processed quickly.
• Process Returns: Issue credits for returned parts, verifying purchase details with original invoices or reference numbers.
• Customer Follow-Up: Regularly check in with customers on order status, provide estimates, and make routine sales calls to maintain strong customer relationships.
• Accurate Data Entry: Enter part numbers accurately to determine costs on repair orders.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For:

• 2+ years of parts sales experience is highly preferable
• Thorough knowledge of basic computer operations and inventory control systems
• Demonstrated customer service and communication skillsStrong organization skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple projects seamlessly with excellent attention to detail and a solution-focused outlook
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background checkand drug screen.
• Ability to lift or move up to 80 lbs. unassisted
