Job summary

Linder Industrial Machinery Company in Virginia is seeking a Parts Counter Associate to assist customers at the parts counter or by phone. You will process orders, receive and distribute equipment parts, and provide diagnostic assistance to customers.

Responsibilities include completing purchase orders, using manuals and data to identify parts, contacting vendors, reviewing invoices, and maintaining accurate inventory records.

Qualifications

• AA or equivalent from a two-year college/technical school or equivalent.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.

• Utilize industry data – including manuals and electronic data – to determine specific parts needed by customers, as well as diagnostic assistance to customers
• Contact vendors to order parts
• Review invoices to ensure parts received accurately reflect parts ordered on original requisition forms
• Store parts in designated area and issue parts to service department/customers as needed
• Maintain records of parts received and distributed; inventory parts in warehouse periodically
