Job summary

TransChicago Truck Group is seeking a Parts Counter Rep to sell commercial vehicle parts over the counter, through the shop, or by phone. This role supports daily parts operations, inventory accuracy, and customer service while working on the 2nd shift, Monday–Friday, 3:30PM–12AM.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 1+ years of automotive or truck parts experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
• Keep orderly records of repair orders, invoices, and part quotes.
• Process credits for parts returned with invoice reference.
• Ensure service repair orders reflect internal part requests.
• Participate in training programs and stay updated on products.

We are looking for a Parts Counter Rep who will sell commercial vehicle and equipment parts to customers over the counter, through the shop, or on the phone.

This role will work 2nd shift Monday-Friday, 3:30PM-12AM.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
• Keep orderly records of all repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates, and special order parts.
• Issue credit for parts returned, ensuring that the original invoice, or its number, is available so that purchase and pricing can be verified.
• Make sure all internal requests for parts are billed on the service repair orders.
• Participate in all training programs that are made available.
• Keep current on new products and product updates.
• Participate in maintaining a lost sales tracking program.

Required Experience & Education:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 1+ years of automotive or truck partsexperience.

Compensation & Benefits

• Compensation: $30-$35/hr. Hourly ratewill be determined based on experience, competencies, certifications and education.
