Job summary

TransChicago Truck Group in Illinois is seeking a Parts Counter Rep to sell commercial vehicle parts over the counter, in the shop, or by phone. You will help customers locate parts, quote pricing, and ensure accurate documentation.

Key duties include setting up orders for daily shipment or pickup, maintaining repair order records, processing returns, and staying current on new products and updates through training programs. Prior automotive or truck parts experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of automotive or truck parts experience.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and records.

Responsibilities

• Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
• Keep orderly records of repair orders, invoices, and special orders.
• Issue credit for parts returned, ensuring the original invoice or number is available.
• Ensure internal requests for parts are billed on the service repair orders.
• Participate in all training programs that are made available.
• Keep current on new products and product updates.

We are looking for a Parts Counter Rep who will sell commercial vehicle and equipment parts to customers over the counter, through the shop, or on the phone.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
• Keep orderly records of all repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates, and special order parts.
• Issue credit for parts returned, ensuring that the original invoice, or its number, is available so that purchase and pricing can be verified.
• Make sure all internal requests for parts are billed on the service repair orders.
• Participate in all training programs that are made available.
• Keep current on new products and product updates.
• Participate in maintaining a lost sales tracking program.

Required Experience & Education:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 1+ years of automotive or truck partsexperience.

Compensation & Benefits

• Compensation:$26-$35/hr. Hourly ratewill be determined based on experience, competencies, certifications and education.
