Job summary

Midway Motors Auto Group in Newton, KS is seeking a dependable Parts Counter Clerk to join our team. The role focuses on assisting customers and technicians, ordering parts, and maintaining accurate inventory while supporting the broader dealership team.

You will work closely with the Service Department to ensure technicians have the parts they need and provide friendly, knowledgeable service to customers. This is a fast-paced, customer-facing position in a community-focused dealership.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years parts department and/or warehouse experience in the automotive industry.
• Minimum of 2 years customer service experience.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)

Responsibilities

• Assist customers, technicians, and other departments with finding and ordering the right parts.
• Answer phones and provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service.
• Process parts orders, invoices, payments, returns, and special orders.
• Receive, organize, stock, and maintain parts inventory.
• Follow up on special orders and notify customers or team members when parts arrive.
• Help keep the Parts Department organized, clean, and running efficiently.
• Work closely with our Service Department to make sure technicians have the parts need.
• Assist with receiving merchandise, deliveries, and day-to-day dealership needs.
• Learn our products, systems, and processes to better serve our customers.
• Jump in and help the team wherever needed.
