Job summary

Bill Clough Ford in Windsor, CT is seeking a Parts Counter Person to deliver excellent customer service, assist service technicians, and manage parts inventory. The role includes processing orders, locating parts, maintaining stock, and performing deliveries.

Ideal candidates have experience with automotive parts sales, strong communication and math skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with automotive parts sales is preferred.
• Knowledge of automobiles and automotive parts required.
• Ability to identify and locate the correct parts efficiently.
• Strong reading, computer, and mathematics skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish.
• Assist retail customers and service technicians with their parts needs.
• Work with the Parts Manager to locate parts that are not in stock.
• Complete special-order part requests for customers.
• Communicate with customers regarding parts availability and status.
• Receive, inspect, organize, and stock incoming parts.
• Maintain accurate parts inventory.
• Make parts deliveries and pick up parts from vendors and other locations.
• Communicate with staff, vendors, and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Keep the Parts Department organized and clean.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations applicable to the industry.
• Perform other duties as needed
