Bruckner Truck & Equipment in Fountain, CO is seeking a Parts Counter Sales associate to fill parts orders by phone or in person and advise customers on part substitutions. You will operate a forklift and help keep the parts department running smoothly in a busy environment.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and 2+ years in a heavy-duty truck parts setting, with strong customer interaction and the ability to move quickly between tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least two years in heavy duty truck or automotive parts department experience.
• Ability to interact successfully with customers and co-workers, and have urgency in helping customers.
• Must move at a fast pace and handle multiple tasks; able to operate parts dept equipment, forklift, and pickup.

Responsibilities

• Answer customer calls and fill orders from stock.
• Assist customers on parts counter and shop counter.
• Read catalogs, microfiche, or computer for replacement part numbers, availability, price.
• Advise substitutions or modifications when replacement is not available.
• Inform customer of any quality improvements or service bulletins on part replacement.
• Examine returned part and exchange if defective.
• Stock parts by part number sequence.
• Use measuring tools to verify part sizes.
• Clean parts shelves for inventory prep.
• Process payments and give change.
• Use calculator and computer keyboard.
• Perform periodic bin checks.
