Job summary

Gabrielli Truck Sales in Dayton, NJ is seeking a Parts Counter representative to sell auto and truck parts over the counter, by phone, and through the shop. The role requires excellent customer service and product knowledge to guide customers to the right parts and accessories.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of auto/truck parts experience, can handle invoices, payments, and pricing quotes, and is able to lift up to 60 lbs while standing for long periods in a busy warehouse setting.

• Sells parts to customers over the counter, through the shop, or on the phone.
• Informs customers of companion part requirements and specials.

• Keeps current on new products and product updates.
• Be motivated, proactive, focused and well organized.

Salary Range: $28.00 To $30.00 Hourly

JOB DESCRIPTION

Sells parts to all customers, over the counter, through the shop, or on the phone.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists all customers in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
• Informs customers of companion part requirements and specials, and ensures that the customer is exposed to the full product line.
• Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.
• Provides high level of service to customers.
• Notifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts that need immediate attention.
• Follows up on back-ordered parts.
• Receives payment from retail customers or obtains credit authorization.
• Ensures that all charge sales are signed by the customer.
• Ensures that all customers receive their copy of the invoice.
• Participates in all training programs that are made available.
• Keeps current on new products and product updates.
• Be motivated, proactive, focused and well organized
• Minimum 3 years experience with Auto or Truck Parts EDUCATION AND/OR

EXPERIENCE:

• Parts Department Experience PHYSICAL

DEMANDS:

• Able to work overtime when necessary
