United Concrete Products is seeking a detail-oriented Parts Buyer to join our team, responsible for sourcing and purchasing equipment parts, maintenance supplies, and components that keep our production and fleet operations running smoothly.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a few years of purchasing experience looking to grow within the precast concrete/manufacturing industry. The role emphasizes collaboration with maintenance and fleet teams and experience with ERP systems.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or parts buying.
• Solid understanding of mechanical/equipment parts and maintenance supplies.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and purchasing/inventory software.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase replacement parts for production equipment, machinery, and fleet.
• Obtain and compare quotes from vendors to ensure competitive pricing.
• Create and process purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner.
• Track order status and follow up with vendors on delivery timelines.
• Maintain accurate records of parts inventory, pricing, and vendor information.
• Coordinate with maintenance and fleet teams to identify parts needs and prevent downtime.
• Assist in identifying and qualifying new suppliers.
• Monitor stock levels for critical parts and reorder as needed.
• Resolve discrepancies related to orders, shipments, invoices, or damaged parts.
