American Concrete Products is seeking a careful Purchaser to buy general and specialized materials, equipment, and subcontractor services for manufacturing precast concrete components. You will create POs, track materials in Sage ERP, forecast needs, and ensure stock for upcoming projects.

The role requires strong analytical skills, ERP experience, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Experience using Sage x3 system.
• Practical experience with an ERP system.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Blueprint reading a plus.

Responsibilities

• Purchase general and specialized materials, equipment, and subcontractor services for manufacturing precast concrete components.
• Create purchase orders and receive materials in Sage ERP for invoicing.
• Forecast and ensure materials are in stock for upcoming projects.
• Inspect purchased products and report issues promptly.
• Track material using Sage ERP system.
• Run reports on purchases and perform cost analyses with Sage software.
• Monitor inventory daily.
• Research potential products, vendors, and services; compare price and quality for best deals.
• Periodically meet with vendors and clients to negotiate the best deals.

Job description

At American Concrete we manufacture prestressed precast concrete pieces for the rail roads and commercial concrete projects.

We are searching for a purchaser with a keen eye for detail to buy various goods for our company. The purchaser’s duties will include pricing products, material, and services, negotiating the best deals, inventory of raw materials, tracking material, and inspecting deliveries.

The outstanding purchaser can juggle multiple responsibilities at once and make important decisions in our fast-paced environment!

Purchaser Responsibilities:

• Purchase general and specialized materials, equipment, and subcontractor services for manufacturing precast concrete components.

• Creating purchase orders as well receiving materials in Sage ERP system for invoicing purposes

• Ability to forecast and ensure materials are in stock for upcoming projects

• Inspecting purchased products and reporting any issues in a timely manner.

• Tracking material using Sage ERP system

• Running reports on purchases made and performing cost analyses with Sage software.

• Monitoring inventory daily

• Conducting research on potential products, vendors, and services, and comparing price and quality to ensure the best deal.

• Periodically meeting with vendors and clients to negotiate the best deals
