Job summary

American Concrete is seeking a detail-oriented purchaser to buy materials and services for our precast concrete manufacturing operations. You will price products, negotiate deals, manage raw material inventories, and track deliveries using our ERP system.

The successful candidate keeps stock ready for projects, forms strong vendor relationships, and analyzes purchases to drive cost savings while maintaining quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Interpersonal skills to collaborate with suppliers and internal teams.
• Experience in purchasing or procurement in a manufacturing setting preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and invoice processes.
• Blueprint reading a plus.

Responsibilities

• Purchase general and specialized materials, equipment, and subcontractor services for manufacturing precast concrete components.
• Create purchase orders and receive materials in Sage ERP for invoicing purposes.
• Forecast material needs and ensure stock for upcoming projects.
• Inspect purchased products and report issues in a timely manner.
• Track material using Sage ERP and monitor inventory daily.
• Run reports on purchases and perform cost analyses in Sage software.
• Research potential products and vendors to obtain best price/quality.
• Periodically meet with vendors and clients to negotiate the best deals.

At American Concrete we manufacture prestressed precast concrete pieces for the rail roads and commercial concrete projects.

We are searching for a purchaser with a keen eye for detail to buy various goods for our company. The purchaser's duties will include pricing products, material, and services, negotiating the best deals, inventory of raw materials, tracking material, and inspecting deliveries.

The outstanding purchaser can juggle multiple responsibilities at once and make important decisions in our fast-paced environment!

Purchaser Responsibilities:

• Purchase general and specialized materials, equipment, and subcontractor services for manufacturing precast concrete components.
• Creating purchase orders as well receiving materials in Sage ERP system for invoicing purposes
• Ability to forecast and ensure materials are in stock for upcoming projects
• Inspecting purchased products and reporting any issues in a timely manner.
• Tracking material using Sage ERP system
• Running reports on purchases made and performing cost analyses with Sage software.
• Monitoring inventory daily
• Conducting research on potential products, vendors, and services, and comparing price and quality to ensure the best deal.
• Periodically meeting with vendors and clients to negotiate the best deals

• High school diploma.

• Practical experience with an ERP system
