Job summary

GLS North America is seeking a Parts and Materials Coordinator to manage parts operations, collaborating with technicians to identify correct parts, and handling ordering, tracking, and invoicing as parts are received.

This role requires dealer/parts knowledge, strong communication, time management, and the ability to work independently; familiarity with GM inventory systems and NetSuite is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have dealer or service parts knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Submit orders for parts.
• Work with technicians to identify correct parts.
• Track parts ordering via Microsoft and Google Excel.
• Update GM Inventory Management systems like ECVMs.
• Receive and bill all parts to the correct accounts.
• Bill out parts to repair orders in NetSuite.
• Research and follow up on parts issues to find solutions.
• Receive and verify all dealer-installed (LPO) parts from accessory deliveries.
• Receive and verify all parts for retrofit operations.
• Adhere to Suburban Automotive Service's DRIVEN values and align business practices to support the SAS mission and vision.

Job description

As a Parts and Materials Coordinator, you will execute the responsibilities for the parts operation, work with the technicians to identify the correct parts for the job, order, track and invoice as parts are received and uphold the standards for GM safety and SAS Values.

SalaryOverview:

The pay rate for this role starts at $16 per hour based on experience.

Hours:

The hours for this role are Monday through Friday 6am to 2:30pm.

• Submit orders for parts.
• Work with technicians to identify correct parts.

Parts and Materials Coordinator Working Conditions and Physical Demands include:

• Exposure to fumes, chemicals, and automotive fluids.
• This position is performed both inside and outside so weather conditions may include extreme heat and cold.
• This position is continually active and requires standing, walking, bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, all day.
• Must frequently lift and/or move items up to 30 lbs.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
