Job summary

All American Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Midland is seeking a parts counter associate to deliver friendly, efficient service to customers and vendors. You will handle stock inquiries, take parts orders, and coordinate with the service team to ensure timely access to parts.

Responsibilities include processing invoices in ADP, receiving and storing parts, maintaining accurate inventory, and handling payments and credit approvals in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Accurate math for inventory, payments, and invoices.
• Knowledge of automotive parts.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

• Create accurate invoices in ADP.
• Receive, unpack and store parts in appropriate storage areas.
• Check quantity, condition of goods and match invoices.
• Maintain perpetual inventory controls.
• Receive payment or obtain credit authorization.
• Process core returns, warranties and parts returns.

What You’ll Do

• Answer telephone and greet customers in a friendly and professional manner in accordance with Incoming Telephone Call (ITC) standards.
• Communicate effectively with customers and vendors via phone, in-person or email.
• Assist customers by answering questions, checking stock availability, and taking parts orders in a quick, friendly and professional manner in accordance with Initial Customer Contact (ICC) process.
• Maintain clean and professional appearance of counter, work area and stockroom.
• Interact with Service Team to coordinate parts for vehicle repair and service.
• Order parts from suppliers based on service department and customer requests.
• Create accurate invoices in ADP.
• Receive, unpack and store parts in appropriate storage areas so they are readily available when needed.
• Check quantity and condition of goods received against invoices and purchase orders. Check number and unit cost as well as total billing for charges against proper records.
• Specifies parts accurately.
• Takes inventory, maintains records of goods received and keeps perpetual inventory controls.
• Receive payment or obtain credit authorization
• Process core returns, parts warranties and parts returns as necessary.
