Job summary

Subaru Santa Monica is seeking a detail-oriented Parts Advisor to join our busy dealership parts department. You’ll manage the counter, receiving and shipping, and ensure technicians and customers get the right parts quickly.

Experience in automotive parts or shipping/receiving is preferred. You will lift up to 50 lbs, work in a fast-paced environment, and be part of a team that values accuracy and proactive service. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Automotive parts counter or dealership experience preferred.
• Shipping, receiving, or warehouse background considered.
• Reynolds & Reynolds experience preferred for parts lookup and order processing.
• Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs or more and multi-tasking across desk and warehouse duties.

Responsibilities

• Serve retail and internal customers at the counter and by phone with accurate parts information, pricing, and availability.
• Assist service technicians with parts lookup, ordering, and timely delivery.
• Receive incoming parts shipments and process inventory in the system.
• Prepare and ship outgoing parts orders with proper packaging and labels.
• Maintain bin organization and inventory accuracy in the department.
• Process parts orders, returns, warranty claims, and core submissions in Reynolds & Reynolds.
• Follow up on back-ordered or special-order parts and communicate status.
• Support additional department duties to keep operations efficient.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Serve retail and internal customers at the counter and by phone -- providing accurate parts information, pricing, and availability with professionalism and efficiency
• Assist service technicians and advisors with parts lookup, ordering, and timely delivery to keep the service department productive
• Receive incoming parts shipments -- inspecting for accuracy and damage, checking against purchase orders, and processing inventory into the system
• Prepare and ship outgoing parts orders -- packaging, labeling, and coordinating with carriers accurately and on time
• Maintain bin organization, warehouse cleanliness, and inventory accuracy throughout the department
• Process parts orders, returns, warranty claims, and core submissions accurately in Reynolds & Reynolds
• Follow up on back-ordered and special-order parts -- communicating proactively with technicians and service advisors on status
• Support additional parts department duties as needed to keep the operation running efficiently

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Automotive parts counter or dealership experience preferred -- shipping, receiving, or warehouse backgrounds also strongly considered
• Reynolds & Reynolds experience preferred -- familiarity with parts lookup and order processing in R&R is a significant advantage
• Subaru or import brand parts experience a plus
• Able to multitask effectively -- managing counter requests, phone inquiries, and warehouse duties simultaneously
• Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs or more -- receiving, stocking, and shipping are active parts of this role
• Detail-oriented and accurate -- parts transactions and inventory records need to be right every time
• Clear communicator who works effectively with technicians, advisors, and customers
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
