Summit Place Kia East is seeking a dedicated Parts Advisor for our dealership in the greater Detroit area. You will sell retail and wholesale parts, maintain inventory for service and wholesale customers, and support the parts department with daily operations.

The position requires strong customer service, familiarity with inventory systems, and a professional demeanor. Ideal candidates have dealership experience and a proactive, team-focused attitude.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in a dealership or retail setting.

Responsibilities

• Receive and stock part shipments from vendors.
• Lookup and sell parts at front and back counters.

• Maintain cleanliness and professional appearance of the parts department.
• Deliver incoming packages to proper personnel within the dealership.
• Assist with parts deliveries in the absence of the parts driver.

Summit Place KIA East is growing and we are looking for a first-class Parts Advisor f or our dealership in the greater Detroit area - we have locations in Oakland and Macomb county. Overview

The Parts Advisor sells retail and wholesale automotive parts and accessories as well as orders and maintains appropriate levels of inventory for the service department, wholesale customers and retail customers.

Responsibilities include:

• Receive and stock in part shipments from all vendors.
• Lookup and sell parts and merchandise at the front and back counters as necessary.
• Answer phones as necessary to fulfill potential customer needs.
• Fill repair order requirements for the Service Technicians.
• Order parts from any and all vendors as necessary to fulfill requirements of Service Technicians, Wholesale Customers and Counter Sales Customers.
• Communicate with service regarding pertinent part order criteria for the customers.
• Help maintain the cleanliness and professional appearance of the parts department
• Deliver incoming packages to proper personnel throughout the Dealership.
• Solicit assigned accounts by phone and market for new accounts.
• Various tasks assigned by the Parts Manager.

Knowledge/Skills:

• Must be able to comprehend verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to operate a cash register, computer and paper cataloging systems, and process daily paperwork and forms
• Ability to learn how to operate company office machines (copier, fax, etc.)
• Effectively communicating features, benefits, and warranty policy information to customers
• Demonstrate a positive, helpful attitude as well as presenting professional conduct and appearance at all times.
• Ability to learn company computer inventory systems.
• Help maintain cleanliness and professional appearance of the parts department.
• Assist with parts deliveries in the absence of the parts driver or when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
