Job summary

WNXP, part of Nashville Public Radio, is seeking a Director of Partnerships & Projects to bring structure to how the team plans, coordinates, and delivers work. The role actively engages the community, forges key partnerships, builds events, and aligns membership, sponsorship, and audience efforts with the station’s mission.

The position oversees promotional workflows, coordinates multi-department campaigns, and collaborates with programming, digital, and sponsorship teams to maximize impact

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on, consumer-facing event planning experience.
• Experience coordinating all aspects of event planning (production/staging, A/V, catering, registration, ticketing, decor).
• Experience developing and maintaining community and venue partnerships.
• Must have command of sponsor relations and fulfillment and ability to represent the organization externally.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate internal team processes and projects, including trackers and calendars for events and promotions.
• Serve as primary project manager for events and promotions across departments.
• Identify and develop new event opportunities and promotional partnerships in the community.
• Coordinate event sponsorship discussions and revenue opportunities across teams.
• Oversee on-air and online giveaways with partners and internal staff.
• Lead promotions plans with programming and production.
