This role owns the whole partnerships function, with the main job of turning relationships with the big cloud providers into real sales pipeline. A strong candidate has a few years in business development, partnerships or sales, ideally inside cloud partner programs, and a record of hitting revenue goals. Negotiation skill, comfort with data and the ability to work with sales, marketing and product teams matter a lot.
How it fits the AI era
AI tools can speed up the research, lead tracking and reporting that partnership work involves, and help with preparing partner materials and analyzing pipeline numbers. The core of the job stays human: earning trust with partner contacts, negotiating terms and judging which relationships are worth the effort. Cloud spending is also growing as AI workloads grow, which keeps cost savings a timely topic for partners.
How it builds AI experience
The company sells a cost saving platform for AWS, GCP and Azure bills, so this role sits close to where AI and cloud infrastructure spending meet. Someone here would learn how cloud marketplaces and partner tiers work and how AI driven compute costs shape what customers want. To build more, a candidate can practice using AI tools for partner research, pipeline analysis and outreach prep.
